It is generally recognized that even after employing all the science known to TC Industries and capable people with years of training, there still remain hazards in heat treating.
Therefore our liability to our customers shall not exceed our charges for the work done on any material, except by written agreement.
Warranty will be assumed by TC Industries only when made in writing and signed by both you and TC Industries. In such event, a higher charge will be made for our services.
No claim will be allowed for shrinkage, expansion, deformity or rupture of material in treating, nor for breakage in straightening, except by written agreement as above; nor in any case for rupture caused by subsequent grinding.
The heat treatment of cold finished bars may result in a change in the surface condition and diameter. TC Industries does not take responsibility for these changes.
No claim for shortage in weight or count will be entertained unless presented within five working days after receipt of material by the customer.
Whenever TC Industries is given material with detailed instructions as to treatment, our responsibility shall end with the carrying out of those instructions.
A certification of chemistry must be made available to TC Industries for each heat that we process.
Failure by a customer to indicate plainly and correctly the kind of material (i.e., make and grade of steel) to be treated, shall cause an extra charge to be made to cover any additional expense incurred as a result thereof.
Hardness requirements will be reported, unless otherwise specified, as surface hardness.
